Nathan Lee Jones - Director of Business Operations / Co-Founder
Nathan Lee Jones, a Maryland native, began his training in music and technology at a very young age. He has performed with a variety of local singing groups and bands at open mics throughout the Philadelphia and DC-Metropolitan area. The Spring of 2004 brought about the founding of Peace of Music, LLC birthed from Nathan’s recognition of a need for quality music project management, production, and recording. Out of this parent company, CODA Program emerged with an emphasis on creating these same opportunities for youth, along with the added benefit of professional music education

Ali Richardson - Director of Music Education / Co-Founder Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Ali Richardson, currently resides in West Philadelphia, a vibrant and diverse community which serves as his home-base for teaching, creating, and performing music. As a co-founder of CODA Program, Ali is also lead facilitator for the Hip-hop Jazz Musicology and The Drum Circle workshops. Musically and artistically, Ali blends Hip-hop, Jazz, Blues, and World Music into his performances and plays several musical instruments, including guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, and percussion. Mr. Richardson enjoys teaching and working with all ages and academic levels in efforts is to create a world where youth and elders can sing together, learn together, and teach together.

Opeyemi Akanbi - Program Coordinator Opeyemi Akanbi, a native of Nigeria, is a young educator and musician. After graduating from the prestigious Wilberforce University in Xenia, Ohio, she decided to move to Philadelphia, PA and continue her graduate studies in Music Education. Yemi has a strong passion for music, and especially in the preservation of African and African-American musical traditions. Presently, Yemi serves as Lead Program Coordinator and a Facilitator within CODA, which allows her to share her knowledge and passion for music with children and adults alike. She also serves as Philadelphia Chapter Co-Coordinator for The Young Friends Society of African Diasporan Institutions, an organization that partners with various arts and cultural institutions to promote arts awareness within the city. Yemi stays active by performing at open mic venues, giving voice and piano lessons, and writing and recording original music.

Jeanette Berry - Facilitator Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City to art-centric parents, Jeanette has always had an open mind and a love for art and its many forms. A Vocal Jazz major at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, Jeanette has performed everything from Blues to Musical Theater, Rock to Jazz. For 3 years, Jeanette has been a member of the Voices of the Pops, a group that sings frequently with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops. Jeanette Berry and the Soul Nerds is her own collective which features original music and local musicians. Jeanette is passionate about sharing her love of music and talent through performing as well as through teaching.
